Message Your rationale is sound but you can't run the car like this for very long. Tensioner and belt are the most important pieces to replace if you decide to keep her, but seals and waterpump take just as much effort to get to. $$ is a different story.

IMHO the balance is 2 hours. Running her more than 2 hours without changing belt and tensioner after 5 years sitting is taking on significant risk.
